Solaris Live Upgrade
Solaris Live Upgrade technology significantly reduces service outage during an OS
upgrade. This technology enables the Solaris OS to run normally during an upgrade
or normal maintenance on an inactive boot environment.
Your server is configured with a liveupgrade partition on slice 3 that contains an
exact duplicate of the Solaris OS that is preinstalled in the root partition. This
liveupgrade
partition is an Alternate Boot Environment (ABE).
