Type
password manager password to create a password for the Manager,
where
password can consist of between 1 and 32 alphanumeric characters
and is case sensitive.
To Set the Access Point’s IP Address
By default, the access point is configured to automatically receive IP
addressing from a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server.
However, if you are not using a DHCP server to configure IP addressing, use
the CLI to manually configure the IP values.
1.
From the global configuration mode, type
interface ethernet to access the
Ethernet interface-configuration mode.

Type
show ip to display the access point’s default IP configuration,
including IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway. The following
illustration shows the default settings.

To manually assign an IP address, type
ip address ip-address netmask,
where
ip-address is the access point’s IP address and netmask is the
network mask for the network. If managing the access point from another
subnet, you must also set the default gateway with the
ip default-gateway
gateway command, where gateway is the address of the default gateway
router. Check with your system administrator to obtain an IP address that
is compatible with your network.
