Setting Up Your Camera
This section explains how to attach the strap to your
camera, install a memory card, and make a few basic
camera settings.
Attaching the strap to your camera
Before attaching the strap, be sure to read the safety
instructions in “When using the strap” on page 4.
To attach the strap, pass the strap through the eyelet
on the side of the camera as shown below then pass it
through the clamp to fix it.
Attach the other end of the strap to the eyelet on the
other side of the camera in the same way.
Installing and removing a CompactFlash Card
You need a CompactFlash Card (from now on —
‘memory card’) to take photos. It has been installed in
the camera at shipment. When you need to install it,
follow these steps.
1. Make sure the camera’s dial switch is turned to
Off.
2. Open the memory card cover. Insert the card all
the way into the memory card slot. Make sure the
front of the card and the front of the camera are
facing the same way.
