Choose the setting or settings bracketed when auto bracketing
is in effect. Choose AE & flash (
j) to perform both exposure
and flash-level bracketing, AE only (
k) to bracket only exposure,
Flash only (
l) to perform only flash-level bracketing, WB
bracketing (
m) to perform white-balance bracketing, or ADL
bracketing (
y) to perform bracketing using Active D-Lighting.
Note that white balance bracketing is not available at image
quality settings of NEF (RAW) or NEF (RAW) + JPEG.
Record two to ten NEF (RAW) exposures as a single photograph.

Description
Multiple
exposure mode
•
0 On (series): Take a series of multiple exposures.
Select Off to resume normal shooting.
• On (single photo): Take one multiple exposure.
• Off: Exit without creating additional multiple
exposures.
Number of shots
Choose the number of exposures that will be combined
to form a single photograph.
Overlay mode
• Add: The exposures are overlaid without modification;
gain is not adjusted.
• Average: Before the exposures are overlaid, the gain for
each is divided by the total number of exposures
taken (gain for each exposure is set to
1

exposures,

for 3 exposures, etc).
• Lighten: The camera compares the pixels in each
exposure and uses only the brightest.
• Darken: The camera compares the pixels in each
exposure and uses only the darkest.
