Determining the Required Gain

ƒ Identify the unobstructed distance between RadioLinx antennas from the

table.

ƒ Find the row that corresponds to the distance between the antennas.
ƒ Find the Link Gain in the appropriate row. The Net dB is based upon an

antenna installed at a 16 foot (5 meters) height.

ƒ For example, if the unobstructed distance between RadioLinx devices is 5

miles (8 km), the Net dB required is 19 dB.
