3.04 Remove the cap from the vehicle’s master cylinder reservoir and ensure that the battery

terminals are clean and accessible for connection when required.

3.05 Uncoil the cable from the unit and remove the protective cap from the probe tip (1).

3.06 Connect the cable clamps to the battery ensuring correct polarity (2). (Red clamp to the

positive + terminal and the black clamp to the negative - terminal.)

3.07 Immerse the probe tip into the brake fluid to the required depth of 25mm. To get an accurate

reading the control switch should be held on for 30 seconds (3). At the end of this period

release the switch, observe the temperature readout and refer to the chart below.

3.08 Lift the probe up from the brake fluid reservoir and allow the fluid contained within the tip to drain

back into the reservoir (4). Before moving the tester away from the reservoir wipe excess fluid

from the tip to avoid dripping brake fluid onto any paintwork (5).

3.09 Replace the protective cap onto the probe tip and recoil the cable around the unit (6).

Replace the unit into the carry case together with any accessories and store safely.

4. WARRANTY INFORMATION

Sealey Power Products warrants this product to be free from defects in material and

workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year from date of purchase,

except as hereinafter provided. In the event of a dispute regarding warranty, Sealey Power

Products would require proof of purchase displaying the purchase date, customer name,

product description and serial number of the unit. This warranty extends only to the original

purchase (a purchase from Sealey Power Products' licensed distributors is an original

purchase). This warranty shall not apply to fuses or batteries. Factory calibration is

warranted for a period of one year. The warranty shall not apply to any product that has

been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or abnormal renditions of operation or storage.

Should Sealey Power Products be unable to repair or replace the product within a

reasonable amount of time, purchaser's exclusive remedy shall be a refund of the purchase

price upon return of the product.

In the event of failure of a product covered by this warranty. Sealey Power Products will

repair the instrument when it is returned by the purchaser, at the purchaser's cost to Sealey

Power Products within the applicable warranty period, provided Sealey Power Products'

examination discloses to its satisfaction that the product was defective. Sealey Power

Products may, as its option, replace the product in lieu of repair. With regard to any

instrument returned within the applicable warranty period, repairs or replacement will be

made without charge and with return freight paid by Sealey Power Products. If the failure

was caused by misuse, neglect, accident, abnormal conditions of operation or storage,

repairs and return carriage charges will be billed at a reasonable cost. If purchaser tampers

with the product or attempts to carry out a repair themselves, the warranty will be void.

The foregoing warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including but

not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness or adequacy for any particular

purpose or use. Sealey Power Products shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or

consequential damages, whether in contract, tort or otherwise.
