7 Commissioning
1. Before initial commissioning, check the work carefully.
2. Check voltages and polarity on both DC- and AC sides. The voltages and polarity may not
exceed the limit values permitted by the inverter.
The main tests for commissioning are described below.
Necessary Tests
The following conditions must be fulfilled before commissioning:
• All electrical connections made on-site must be checked for correct connection and secure
attachment.
• The entire electrical system, including the photovoltaic generator, must be tested by the system
installer in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-600 "Installing Low-Voltage Systems - Part 6: Tests".
A test report of the tests made in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-600 must be completed.
Additional tests are required for medium voltage systems if applicable. The grounding
resistance of the system must be measured as part of this test. The grounding resistance is a key
to the safety of the system.
• The voltages on the Sunny Central must be tested.
Warranty or Guarantee Claims
Warranty or guarantee claims may only be asserted if initial commissioning has been
performed by SMA Solar Technology or if the provided Commissioning Report for Sunny
Central Systems has previously been completed, signed and returned to SMA Solar
Technology.
Test and rectify any faults.
Rectify wiring faults based on the existing documentation and the circuit diagram.
The commissioning report supports you in the commissioning procedure.
Switching elements
When delivered, all switching elements, e.g. circuit beakers and motor overload switches
in the Sunny Central are switched off.
