MAINTENANCE
Tires
Wheel Removal
1. Apply the brakes. Engage the park brake.
2. Stop the engine. Place the transmission in gear.
3. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.
4. Elevate the side of the vehicle by placing a suitable stand under the
frame.
5. Remove the wheel nuts and washers. Remove the wheel.
Wheel Installation
1. Apply the brakes.
2. Place the transmission
in gear.
3. Engage the park brake.
4. Place the wheel in the
correct position on the
wheel hub. Be sure the
valve stem is toward
the outside and rota-
tion arrows on the tire
point toward forward
rotation.
WARNING! Improperly installed wheels can adversely affect tire wear and
vehicle handling, which can result in serious injury or death. Always ensure that
all nuts are torqued to specification. Do not service axle nuts that have a cotter
pin installed. See your Polaris dealer.
5. Attach the wheel nuts and washers and finger tighten.
6. Carefully lower the vehicle to the ground.
7. Torque the wheel nuts to specification. See page 94.
