Saving Local Playlists
Sometimes you need to create a playlist that you can use over again. For
example, you could create a playlist for a 6 PM broadcast and then modify it for
the 10 PM broadcast. To use a playlist again, you need to save it and reopen it
later to make changes.
To save a playlist:
1. When you are done adding clips, click
Save
on the main toolbar.
The Save As window appears:
2. Select a location for the playlist and enter a file name.
3. Click
Save
.
The playlist is saved with a .pls extension.
To save a playlist with a different name, select
File | Save As
, enter a new
filename, and click
Save
.
You can also save an NCS rundown as a local playlist. This creates a “snapshot”
of the current state of the rundown. If the rundown is then changed on the NCS
and you need to revert to the previous version, you can open the local .pls
version.
