Sending Completed Clips
Once you create a clip or sequence on NewsEdit for a specific placeholder, you
need to send it to a Media Server so it can be played to air by NewsQ Pro. Your
NewsEdit workstation must be configured with the Media Server and its default
directory as the default Send Destination. See your NewsEdit documentation
for more information.
If you didn’t previously link your sequence to a NewsQ Pro placeholder, you
can do it before sending the clip.
To send a completed sequence:
1. Select the completed sequence in the NewsEdit Bin.
If you have the completed sequence open in NewsEdit, it is already selected;
click
Save
before sending to make sure you send the latest version.
2. Press
F2
on the keyboard or click the
Send to File
button in the toolbar.
The Send To Selected Destinations window appears, displaying the list of
open NewsQ Pro placeholders. If you linked the sequence to a NewsQ Pro
placeholder, that placeholder is highlighted.
If not already selected, click the checkbox for your Media Server’s location.
NOTE: If the list
of placeholders is
grayed out, it means
that you haven’t
set up that send
location as a NewsQ Pro
send destination.
See your NewsEdit
documentation for
details.
