Simple Database (SDB) Server
The SDB Server runs in the background to keep clip status current. When the
status of a clip changes, the SDB Server updates available status and clip
duration in the NewsQ Pro database, which in turn updates the NewsQ Pro
application. In addition, when a clip is sent from NewsEdit associated with a
NewsQ Pro placeholder, the SDB Server updates the number of missing items
in the Assignment List Manager and Assignment List Plug-in.
The SDB Server typically runs on the same computer as the main NewsQ Pro
application, and optionally on a second system as a hot standby backup
database.
