Modifying the Start of a Clip
Sometimes you want to change the starting frame of a clip while playing to air,
but don’t want to trim the clip in the playlist. You can change the start of a clip
in NewsQ, known as scrubbing down, before playing to air. Scrubbing won’t
change the length of the clip—the starting frame is changed only for this
playout.
To scrub down a clip:
1. Click the Cue Selected button to cue the clip you want to modify.
2. Click the Scrub Down button on the Playback Channel window.
Loop Playback must be disabled for Scrub Down to be available.
3. Select a new starting point for the clip.
Move the playback slider to find the new start point.
4. When you are satisfied with the new position, click the Scrub Down button
again.
The clip background turns brown indicating the clip has been scrubbed
down.
5. Click Play to play the clip from the new position.
