Using a TFTP Server
Preparing the 7600REF
1. Power up the 7600 and wait for initialization to complete.
2. Navigate to the Setup>>More>>Upgrades>>Server Address menu.
Enter the IP address of the TFTP server and press
OK .
Generating the Log File (Digital Signature)
This process is only necessary when enabling options which is done at the
factory. However, at some point this log may be needed when working
with Customer Service so the procedure is included here.
1. Navigate the 7600 to Setup>>More>>Upgrades>>Features>> Generate
Log.
2. A file will now be created in the TFTP root folder. Retrieve this file and
email it to Technical Support as requested.
3. This process is for enabling options which should only be necessary
when requested by Customer Service.
