Before removing the kickstand, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the slate. If you are unsure whether the slate is off or in Hibernation, turn the slate on, and then
shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect the power from the slate by unplugging the power cord from the slate.
3.
Disconnect all external devices from the slate.
4.
Remove the display panel assembly (see
Display panel assembly on page 20
5.
Remove the speakers (see
).
Remove the kickstand:
1.
Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×4.5 screws (1) that secure the kickstand, the hinges, and the USB port
brackets to the back cover.
2.
Remove the USB port brackets (2).
3.
Slide the kickstand (3) and hinges up until they rest midway in the back cover.
4.
Remove the four Torx TM4/2.0×3.4 screws (4) that secure the hinges to kickstand.
5.
Remove the hinges (5).
The hinges are available using spare part number 830340-001.
6.
Remove the kickstand (6).
7.
Remove the kickstand.
Reverse this procedure to install the kickstand.
