These managed Layer 2 Ethernet switches provide an entry-level SNMP
management solution for businesses. Workgroups looking for an advanced yet
affordable solution can deploy these switches to bring managed Ethernet connection
to their desktops.
These switches include more advanced software features than similar devices of
the same class. These features allow administrators to set up a secure network and
fine-tune the workgroup performance. For inter-workgroup connection, the switches
provide fiber uplinks to connect together groups of users in, for example, different
classrooms or departments spread across on a campus or between buildings.
Supporting D-Link’s Single IP Management, these switches can be easily configured
with any switches supporting D-Link’s Single IP Management, including the xStack
core switches, for integration with a more comprehensive network structured with
backbone and centralized high-speed servers.
