Wireless UsB
D-Link Wireless USB brings convenience and mobility to high-speed interconnects
in devices throughout the digital home and office. It uses the Ultra-Wideband (UWB)
technology based on the WiMedia standard, and is designed for low-power, short-
range, wireless personal area networks (WPAN).
Wireless USB enables wireless connection of multiple devices for transmission of
video, audio and other high-bandwidth data. It uses the short-range radio technology
to complement other longer range radio technologies such as Wi-Fi and WiMAX,
and cellular wide area communications. Its combination of broader spectrum and
lower power improves speed and reduces interference with other wireless spectra.
Wireless USB relays data from a host device to other devices in the immediate area
of up to 10 meters.

● USB 2.0 Port
● For Desktop and Notebook PC
Connection
● Supports Windows
Wireless USB Adapter
● Ultra-Wideband Frequency,
low Energy level
» 3.1GHz to 10.6 GHz radio transmission
range.
» Limited transmit power of -41dBm/MHz.
» Provides dramatic channel capacity at
short range that limits interference.
● Convenient Wireless
Connection
» Digitals camcorders can play just-
recorded videos on an HDTV without
troublesome wiring.
» Portable MP3 player can stream audio
to surround sound speakers from
anywhere in the room.
» Mobile computer can wirelessly connect
to a digital projector in a conference
room to deliver presentation.
» Digital pictures can be sent to a USB
printer without any cable.
» PC can wirelessly connect to printer,
scanner or external storage from a USB
port.
» Future products such as Camera
and Printers will have Wireless USB
connectivity built-in, making Wireless
USB networking even more compelling.
● no Interference with other
Appliances’ Radio Frequencies
» Wireless USB doesn’t interfere largely
with other more traditional ‘narrow band’
and continuous carrier wave uses in the
same frequency band.
» Ensures co-existence with other
wireless network and home appliances.
» Regulatory settings in different countries
should provide efficient use of scarce
radio bandwidth while enabling both
high data rate personal-area network
(PAN) wireless connectivity and longer-
range, low data rate applications as well
as radar and imaging systems.
● Certified Wireless USB
» Ensures interoperability with other
Wireless USB supported devices.
