1.3 The Write Protect Switch
The Kanguru Defender Elite200 device features a physical write protect switch.
• Unlocked - Push the write protect switch towards the USB connector side of the device to set it in
the unlocked position. When the write protect switch is set in the unlock position, the device will
function normally.
• Locked - Push the write protect switch towards the LED side of the device to set it in the locked
position. When set in the lock position, the write protect switch will prevent any data from being
written to the device’s secure partition.
Important! You may receive an error if you attempt to log in to your device while the write protect
switch is set in the locked position. Please check and make sure that the write protect switch is set in the
unlocked position when logging into the device. Once you have successfully logged in and mounted the
device’s secure partition, you can set the write protect switch to the locked position.
