SUBJECT: WELDED WEDGE KIT,

ALL LOG SPLITTERS
Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine,
shut off power source, remove key, disconnect the
battery cables (if applicable) and make sure all moving
parts have come to a complete stop.
WARNING
INSTALLATION
1. Remove the existing wedge.
2. Using the provided 1/2 x 3" carriage bolt (1),
washer and toplock nut (7), secure the new
welded wedge (2) to cylinder. Make sure the
new wedge is pressed against the cylinder
attachment point as firmly as possible before
applying full torque to nut and carriage bolt.
3. Place the six 1/2 x 2" carriage bolts (3) into holes
of cast wedge base. Working one side at a time,
stack the wedge spacer (4) and bottom wedge
plate (5) and place onto three carriage bolts
securing them with 1/2" centerlock nuts. Repeat
for other side of wedge.
4. For log splitters serial number C01076 and VIN
5VJAA001XBW003132 below, the addition of
the shims (6) will be necessary when mounting
the spacers (4) and bottom plates (5) to wedge.
