The CMR-5930 can be configured to support three modes of operation - all three modes
can operate simultaneously:
•
MPE/IP – MPE coming in over the ASI input is decapsulated and delivered to the
Ethernet as IP
•
Service Filter – Incoming Program Streams over the ASI input can be filtered
into individual MPEG-2 elements (PIDs) and delivered to the Egress RS-422 port
or to the Ethernet as MPEG-2 Transport Stream over IP
•
MPEG-2 Transport Stream – Incoming transport stream is routed to the
Ethernet port where it is encapsulated into IP
PID
The MPEG-2 PID in Hexadecimal that should be filtered and MPE extracted
from the incoming ASI stream and delivered to the Ethernet as IP. MPE mode
supports both Unicast and Multicast operation.
