6. Place the activation record at a predefined persistent location on the board.
7. Application checks the local activation record every time it runs to obtain the license limits
and the locking parameters.
A.2 Obtaining the Activation Record
After you purchase the licenses for a value-added software module, follow the steps
mentioned in this section to obtain the activation record.
1. On purchasing a license, you will be sent an e-mail with the product key.
2. Export the path of license libraries if not already exported using the following command:
For External PC Setup:
export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/opt/bladeservices/lib
3. Using the product key, create a fingerprint of the blade. Execute the below command to
create a fingerprint key: /opt/ssf/etc/config/lincenseInstaller -o genfp.
Once executed the above command, it prompts for the product key and customer domain
key. User suggested to give the valid product key and customer domain key to generate
the fingerprint key.
