Firmware Upgrades
A.1 Overview
All firmware images are available in /opt/motorola/rom. All tools required for upgrade are
delivered with the software and will be available in /opt/motorola/bin. Upgrade only if it
is required. IPMC and BIOS firmware should only be upgraded using fcu tool.
A.2 PrAMC-7211 BIOS Firmware Upgrade
1. Use the fcu tool to get the firmware versions of both the bios banks currently running on
the system.
export PATH=$PATH:/opt/motorola/bin
fcu -q -d pramc-7211-cpu
The output will be similar to as given below:
root@PrAMC-7211:~# fcu -q -d pramc-7211-cpu
PTM control block init, PTMID get failed
This ipmc device supports legacy non-HPM.1 upgrade protocol.
