Power On by Ring
An input signal on the serial Ring Indicator (RI) line (in other words, an incoming call on the modem)
awakens the system from a soft off state. The choices: Enabled, Disabled.
Wake Up on Giga LAN
When the system enters a Soft-off mode (Standby power exists but system is not working), it will wake up
system when specific signals occur. the BIOS monitors the system for “activity” to determine when to
enable power management.
If you enable this feature, the computer specifies that any signal noticed on the LAN must make go out from
the hibernation state. The choices: Enabled, Disabled.

The events are I/O events whose occurrence can prevent the system from entering a power saving mode
or can awaken the system from such a mode. In effect, the system remains alert for anything, which occurs
to a device, which is configured as Enabled, even when the system is in a power down mode. The choices
are Enabled, and Disabled.
After you have made your selections in the Power Management setup, press the <ESC> key to go back to
the main program screen.
4.12 PnP/PCI Configurations
This section describes configuring the PCI bus system. Peripheral Component Interface, is a system which
allows I/O devices to operate at speeds nearing the speed the CPU itself uses when communicating with its
own special components. This section covers some very technical items and it is strongly recommended
that only experienced users should make any changes to the default settings.
