INSTALL CLAMPS

Assemble and attach the 7600SC Standard

Clamps (see instructions on pg. 8) or 7600TC
Toggle Clamps (see instructions on pg. 9)
that
came with your Dovetail Jig. See fig. 10.

STATIONARY USE ONLY - INSTALL
ROUTER SUPPORT/DUST DEFLECTOR

The router support/dust deflector is included with the

Dovetail Jig, but it is not mandatory that you use it. It helps
support the router (prevents it from tipping too far and ruining
a template) and it deflects cutting debris downward. The
router support can be used without the dust deflector, but
the dust deflector can’t be used without the router support.

Install a 3/16" washer (WB001) on three of the 3/8"

screws (MT005), insert a screw thru one of the holes in each
corner bracket (CAB010) and start a 10-24 oval nut (5750B)
on the end of the screw. Slide the oval nuts in to the T-slot of
the router support bar and space the corner brackets apart so
the remaining holes line up with the holes in the dust deflector
(7600E). Insert 3/8" screws thru the holes in the corner
brackets, then the dust deflector, and fasten them together
using 3/16" washers and 10-24 nuts (NUT004). See fig. 11.

Install a 1" washer (WFN002) on a 1/2" screw (5770B)

and install the screw into the threaded hole in the router
support brackets (7600B2). Attach the router support
brackets to the threaded hole in the template bracket (next
to the template) using a 3/4" screw (MF010). The top
of the router support brackets should be slightly below
the top of the template when installed. See fig. 12.

The router support bar/One Track (4216) lays in the

recess in the router supports. The router support bar is not
intended to support the router as you make the cut, only to
help prevent you from tipping the router and ruining the
template. Even if you’re using the router support bar, you
must still keep the router pressed firmly against the template
when cutting. When done cutting, you can remove the
router support bar/dust deflector for a better view/access,
then replace it when ready to cut again. See fig. 13.
