Channel LED -

32 Green LEDs indicates the channel is enabled and a valid input signal level is present. The LED is off if the
channel is disabled. A blinking LED indicates that the channel has exceeded a range limit.

STEP 4: Check the module’s communication status.

VERIFY: The module’s green ACTIVE LED is on. This indicates that the module is communicating properly
with the rack.

CORRECTIVE ACTION:

• Set the rack into run mode.
• Reinstall the module in the rack.

STEP 5: Check the module’s health status.

VERIFY: The module is reported as healthy in the Modsoft I/O map Screen. Check to make sure that the
module description, slot location, and register assignments are correct. Also, verify that the module is recog-
nized and reported as healthy. If an asterisk is present before the module’s name, then the module is not
recognized by the rack.

CORRECTIVE ACTION:

• Reinstall the module in the rack.
• Reselect the module in the I/O Map using the key. If the module is not listed, install the Modsoft Runtime
files included with your module.

STEP 6: Check the module’s register operation.

VERIFY: The 4X configuration word and the 3X+8 Status word are setup properly. As a quick check,
disable all ladder programming and set the 4X register to 0000 Hex and verify that the 3X+8 Status register
cycles through the values 0000, 0001, 0010, and 0011 Hex.
