Drill Rod and Equipment
1.
Assemble at least 20’ (6 m), but not more than 30’ (9 m), of drill rod.
2.
Install drill bit to the cutting end of the drill string.
3.
Put drill string in approach trench.
4.
Move machine to the approach trench and align the drilling attachment with the intended bore path.
5.
Turn off engine.
6.
Attach drill string to drilling attachment.
NOTICE: More than 10-15’ (3-4.5 m) of drill rod out of the trench increases the tendency of drill
rod to bend.
