Switching HDMI RES. on the main unit:
Press and hold the SHIFT and
¢ buttons for 3 seconds.
The current status is shown in the display for 2 seconds.
Continue holding down the SHIFT button and press the HDMI RES.
button to switch the status.
The status display is shown for 2 seconds in the display.
• When RGB (SCART) is selected, switching is not possible. RGB
appears on the display if you press the button. (See page 25.)
(Europe model only)
w When “TV ASPECT” is selected:
Use
the 5 and ∞ cursor buttons to select the aspect, press the
ENTER button to decide.
4:3 PS (Factory default)
Select this to play wide DVDs in the pan & scan mode (with the
sides of the picture cut off). Discs for which pan & scan is not
specified are played in the letter box mode.
4:3 LB
Select this to play wide DVDs in the letter box mode (with black
strips at the top and bottom).
WIDE (16:9)
Select this to play wide DVDs in the full-screen mode.
e When “TV TYPE” is selected:
Use
the 5 and ∞ cursor buttons to select the TV type, press the
ENTER button to decide.
NTSC (Factory default : USA model)
Select this when your TV’s video format is NTSC.
If NTSC is selected, output format is fixed to NTSC.
MULTI (Factory default : Europe model)
Select this when your TV is compatible with both the NTSC and
PAL formats.
If you play the disc recorded NTSC format, signal from video
output terminal will be switched to NTSC is selected, output
format is fixed to NTSC.
PAL
Select this when your TV’s video format is PAL.
If PAL is selected, output format is fixed to PAL.
