TROUBLE CHART
This trouble chart will help to isolate the most probable componentes) associated
with the difficulty described. The experienced technician realizes, however,
that a loose connection or broken or shorted wire may be at fault where electrical
components are concerned.,.not necessarily the suspect component itself.
ELECTRICAL PARTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE CHECKED FOR FAILURE BEFORE BEING RETURNED TO
FACTORY.
This chart should not be misconstrued as a devise for use by an untrained person
toward making repairs. Only properly licensed technicians should service the
equipment.
Observe all safety precautions displayed on the equipment or specified in this
manual before and while making repairs.
TROUBLE
A. The dryer won't start.
The tumbler motor runs, but the
tumbler won't revolve. The
heating unit is operating.
The dryer starts, but the heat
ing unit is not operating.
PRQBABLf CAUSE AND REMEDY
D. The dryer operates, but is taking
too long to dry load.

Open fuse box or circuit
breaker switch, or blown fuses.
Improper power supply voltage.
Broken, damaged or loose V-belts.
Belts are contaminated (oil,
grease, etc.)
The manual reset thermostat has
tripped or is defective.
The lint door is open.
The sail switch is out of
adjustment or is defective.
A defective control relay.
A defective relay contactor coil
(416/480V electric dryers).
A defective hi-limit thermostat.
A defective gas or steam valve
solenoid.
An inadequate exhaust system.
Insufficient make up air openings,
One of the relay contactor coils
is defective (_208/240V electric
dryers).
Housekeeping. Clean lint drawer
and check exhaust ducts for
blockage.
Make up air openings are closed.
Extractors are not performing
properly.
