The above example shows that memory location 01 was occu­

pied with an existing number. By pressing the [STO] key

while the LCD display is blank, you clear the memory loca­
tion making it ready for storing another phone number

6.3. RECALL VACANT MEMORY

When you are storing a telephone number into the repertory
memory, you may overwrite a stored telephone number with
the new one by mistake. To avoid this error, it is best to

search for a vacant memory location before storing. The
phone will always indicate the first available Oowest number)
memory location.

This procedure is useful in searching for the telephone num­

ber by the name of the |>erson/company/code that relates to
the phone number.

In the above example, recalling the NAME "AUDIOVOX”

recalls the number "5162333300"which was stored together
with the NAME "AVDIOVOX” in storage memory location
”04". To verify this, simply press the [RCLlkey and enter

"04”. The phone number and "SM:04"will be displayed
momentarily then the phone number and NAME "lOVOX"

will be displayed. The display will alternate between the first

three characters "AUD" and the balance of ALPHA charac­

ters "lOVOX".

This procedure is used to recall a telephone number from

your repertory memory. This procedure can also be used to
confirm the telephone number in repertory memory and to
dial that telephone number with minimum key pressing.

The message "EMPTY” \rill be displayed on the LCD dis­

play, if there is no telephone number in the repertory mem­
ory you selected.

After recalling a number from your repertory memory, you

can review previous and next stored telephone numbers by
simply pressing the up [Aland the down [▼] keys. To termi­
nate the scrolling, press the (CLR) key.
