7. FUNCTIONS
7.1 SELECT SERVICE SYSTEM[FCN-0]

Worldwide, cellular networks work on one of two service
channel groupsA-system or B-system. If you are in "HOME",
there is no need to change your service system state. But if
you are traveling outside of your home area, you may have to
change your system status in order to send and receive calls.
At that time, you should change the service system state of
your telephone to that of the area you wish to operate within.

To lock your phone, press the [FCNj key and the jl/LOCK]
key and hold for more than 0.5 seconds. The "LOCK" mes­
sage will be displayed on the LCD. In the lock mode you can
not use the phone for calling. To unlock the phone, enter the
lock code assigned at NAM programming or when program­
ming the lock code function. It you enter a wrong lock code,
repeat the procedure after pressing the (CLRJkey for more
than 0.5 seconds.

In die locked state, you can not out, but you can answer an
incoming call by pressing the (SEND! key. And even in the
locked state, you can access emergency call or toll free ser­
vice by pressing the keys of their assigned numbers.

The RSSI indicator always works in standby mode and con­
versation mode. If you wish to confirm the battery status,
press the [FCN) key and the key [3] and the battery level will
be displayed in RSSI level indicator. (The more bars dis­
played the longer the battery life.)
