10.1 HANDS FREE KIT

(VEHICLE ADAPTOR)

The PR 130 can be used with a handsfree kit so that you can
operate the phone in your vehicle by using your vehicle's

power supply. The handsfree kit provides you with unlimited

talk time while power is being supplied by your vehicle and
improves receiving and transmitting due to better RF signal

strength created by using an external antenna.

The handsfree kit includes the following;

HANDSFREE ADAPTOR
HANDSFREE MICROPHONE

POWER AND ANTENNA CABLES

HANDSFREE ADAPTOR MOUNTING BRACKET

"Hands Free" means that you can have a conversation with

out holding the phone. But it is safer not to place a call while
operating a vehicle.

When the handsfree kit is properly installed, you can operate

the handsfree kit as follows;

A) Insert the connector of curly cord of hands-free adaptor to

the buttom of the telephone.

B) Place the telephone in hands-free adaptor.

C) When the car ignition is turned on, the phone is automati
cally turned on if the handsfree adaptor is connected proper
ly. (If you turn off the telephone by pressing the [PWR] key,
the telephone does not turn on even though ignition is on. In

this case, you have to press the [PWR] key to turn on the

telephone)

D) The hands-free adaptor has rapid charging capabilities.
Connecting the phone to handsfree adaptor, the red LED
should light up indicating the charging function has begun.

When a green light of charging state indicator is on, the bat

tery has been charged. Charging should be conducted at tem
perature of 0 to +45 degree. The charging time for a fully
drained slimline battery is approximately 3 hours while the

charging time for extended life battery is 7 hours. (The fea
ture of battery charger is equal to that of vehicle charger.)

E) While the phone is placed in the handsfree adaptor all

received audio and key tones will be heard through the hands
free adaptor's speaker. The external microphone will be used to
transmit the voice. At this time, the backlighting of the phone

will remain on to indicate the phone is in handsfree mode.

F)When the telephone is picked up from the handsfree adap

tor . the voice of your party can only be beard from the inter

nal speaker in the earxnece of the telephone and not from the
speaker of die handsfree adaptor.(In this case, battery chain

ing is not available.)

Hora Alert

If the horn alert mode of the PR130 special functions is select

ed, then the vehicls hom will sound whenever an incoming

call is received. Also, when this function is set the phone will

not be turned off even if ignition is turned off so that the vehi

cle hom will sound to inform you of an incoming call during

your absence from your vehicle.
