9. BATTERY CHARGING

9.1. CHARGING BY DESK-TOP

CHARGER

The desk-top charger will completely recharge the slimline

battery in 7 hours and the extended life battery in 14 hours,
provided the phone is turned off. To operate, insert the plug
of the AC/DC adaptor into the connector in the back of the
desk-top charger Plug the AC/DC adaptor into a power out­

let. Ihen simply insert the battery into the desk-top charger.

'Hie LED light should illuminate indicating the charging func­

tion has begun.

The front slot of the desk-top charger accepts both the

extended life and slimline batteries attached to the phone, the

charger's rear slot accepts either size battery alone.

9.2. RAPID CHARGING BY VEHICLE

CHARGER

The vehicle charger is designed to charge the battery rapidly

in vehicle or out of the vehicle. The chaîner can recharge the

battery only when it attached to telephone. To operate in vehi­
cle, insert the plug of the cigarette lighter jack into the con­
nector in the back of the vehicle charger. Plug the cigarette

lighter into the vehicle’s cigarette lighter socket. Then simply

insert the PR130 with battery into the vehicle charger. The

red LED should Ught up indicating the chargii^ function has
begun. When the green light is on, it indicates the battery has
been charged. Char^g should be conducted at temperature
of 0 to +45 degree. The charging time for a fully drained slim

battery is approùmately 150 minutes while the charging time
for long life battery is 300 minutes.

To operate in any other location, insert the output plug of the

AC/DC adaptor into the connector in the vehicle charger.

Plug the AC/DC adaptor into a power outlet. Then simply
insert the PR130 with battery into the vehicle charger

If you try to chaise the battery in very low or very high tem­
perature, the yellow LED will be lit up and the procedure will

be suspended. When the battery temperature is in the
range (0-45) degree, the rechraging will be started and the
LED will light up.

<*■ Note

Do not use AC/DC adaptor other than the one supplied

because it may cause electrical damage to your charging
system or the PR130. Only use the AC/DC adaptor provided
with the PR130.

If You charge battery more than 16 hours continuously, the

life time of battery may be reduced. So please do not change
battery longer than 16 hours. In case of slim line battery and
extended battery, you cannot charge batteries continuously.
It is not advisable to charge battery longer than 24 hours.

The travel charger will completely recharge the slim line

battery in 7 hours and the extended battery in 14 hours. To

operate, insert the battery pack into the travel charger and
insert the plug of travel charger into power outlet {AC

120v/60Hz). Then, the red light should illuminate indicating
toatthe charging function has begun.

If surrounding temperature is below +0° or higher then
+45®, battery may not be charged. So you should try to
charge battery in the normal temperature.

If you charge and discharge the battery continuously, with­

out reachirg a full charge or discharge state, then the bat­
tery capacity wll be reduced.
