Your machine should be oiled every
month. Using a sewing machine oil, place
a single drop on each oiling point as illust
rated, specifically those points marked in
red on your machine. (Fig. 150, 151)
Run the machine to allow the oil to pen
etrate. Your machine cannot be over
oiled but excess oil may drip and stain
your garment.

After
you
have
finished
oiling
the
machine replace the bobbin case. The
needle plate should then be placed into its
normal position, followed by the presser
foot and needle.

4. CHANGING THE LIGHT BULB
Open the face plate by pulling towards the left.
Turn the light bulb counterclockwise to remove.
Replace the bulb by turning clockwise. (Fig. 152)
A majority of service calls could be avoided by
following the above procedures and by first
checking to see that the machine is:
1. Threaded properly top and-bottom.
2. That the bobbin is wound evenly.
3. That the needle is in the machine correctly.
4. Proper cleaning and oiling.
