Programming decorative stitches
A set stitch can be sewn an unlimited number of times.The
upper red part of the symbol shows the ordinary pattern, the
lowerpart shows the pattern once the original way and once
mirrored.
If you wish to finish sewing after one or several patterns, use
the finishing button ® . The machine will then complete
the pattern, fasten off the thread and stop.
If you would like to sew a number of patterns in succession
(identical or unidentical), first press the button under PROG/'
REP once so that the upper light goes on.
Then set the machine for the required stitch and press the
Q button furthest to the left on the control panel so that
the digitals and lights for the stitch go out. The first stitch is now
programiTied in the memory of the computer. Now set the
machine for the next stitch required, repress the Q button
to the left, etc. It is possible to programe 25 patterns and sew
the program an unlimited number of times.
If you wish to alter the stitch length or width, press the push­
button in question before programming the computer by means

of the Q button.
When you press the finishing button © , the machine will
continue to sew until the program is completed, fasten off the
thread and then stop automatically.
If you press the mirroring button 03 after selecting a
pattern, the pattern will be sewn in the opposite image.
A mirrored pattern can be programmed, whereas an alter­
nately mirrored pattern cannot be programmed direct. If you
want to programe such a pattern, you simply programe it once
the original way and once mirrored.
By selecting from the patterns on the pattern cassette, you
have many combinations at your disposal, to compose your
own decorative designs. It is possible to see from the red
markings the extent of each pattern and how the first and last
stitches are sewn m relation to the center line.
The illustrations on the foOowing page show some stitch
combinations.
Above is an example of a border where one stitch is sewn in
the middle and another stitch sewn on each side. The mirroring
effect allows you to sew the stitches in the same direction,
making it easier to obtain optimum results.
