Utilizing the 5000EC Client Software
Once an image is manually archived to the 5000EC duplicator, you can transfer it
for storage over a network to local PCs by using the 5000EC Client. You can then
send it back to 5000EC anytime for duplication.
The images must be in an .img file
format in order to successfully transfer in either direction. Images archived
manually onto the 5000EC duplicator automatically receive an .img file extension.
Step 1: Connecting the IEEE-1394 Cable
1. Turn off the power to the host PC and the 5000EC duplicator.
2. Connect the PC to the 5000EC duplicator using an IEEE-1394 cable. The
host PC must have an IEEE-1394 Adapter installed.
3. Power on the PC and the 5000EC duplicator.
