The MAX15303 uses READ_TEMPERATURE_2 to report external temperature as measured by an
external diode junction, typically placed near the power inductor to facilitate
temperature compensation.
If no external diode junction is detected, READ_TEMPERATURE_2 returns a value of -273°C and is not
used for temperature faults or READ_IOUT temperature compensation.
