a corner off the Picatinny rail and remove the cover. They can be snapped into place over
any Picatinny rail surface as per the instructions.
The rail covers can be cut to specific lengths as desired. Some of the rail cover products
contain wire routing and push pad insert capability for lights and laser devices. For more
information, visit www.mantarails.com.

OPTIC – The Leupold VX-R 3-9 X 40 mm Patrol scope has 3X to 9X adjustable
magnification with a 40 mm objective lens. The reticle is a mil dot Tactical Milling Reticle
(TMR) and is in the first focal plane so the reticle subtends correctly at any magnification
setting in order to use the mil dot type reticle for range estimation, holds, and leads on
various targets.
The elevation and windage knobs operate in 0.1 Mil increments (approximately 1/3 MOA
or 0.33 inches per 100 yards) and can be used in conjunction with or without the mil reticle
for ballistic settings to engage a target. The reticle can be illuminated for reduce light
scenarios.
Read the Leupold owner’s manual and booklet “Using the Tactical Reticle System” for
detailed operation, use, and zeroing of the optic and reticle. Additional optic accessory
items for your scope can be purchased directly from Leupold. For more information, visit
www.leupold.com.
• Ensure the rifle, mounts/bases, and optic are level when installing
• (Recommended) Install hex nuts on right side of rifle (as shown in Fig. 73)
• Install the entire base on the upper receiver Picatinny rail and NOT on the Free
Floating Rail System (Handguard) of the rifle
• Eye relief can be adjusted by repositioning the entire scope and mount using only
the base (as a starting point) . It is recommended to have rear ocular lens at the
charging handle location.

Leupold Mil Dot TMR reticle - The reticle provides a wide application of use without
relying on a specific caliber, ammunition type, or specific conditions. The user can adjust
the scope turrets for the correct ballistic adjustments (see MR762A1-LRP ballistic guidance
chart), use a hold point with the Mil Dot TMR reticle, or a combination of both.
An example of a combination method would be to set the scope elevation turret with
a zeroed rifle to the known setting for the conditions and use the reticle to hold for the
specific wind conditions. HK recommends confirming or zeroing with an initial zero at 100
yards/meters.
