4. Press SET until the white balance
indicator you want appears in the
viewfinder.
The white balance indicator you select
will appear in the viewfinder.
• No indicator appears when you
select auto white balance.
• Select MWB when shooting
subjects with different color
temperatures and adjust the white
balance as follows:
Note: Connecting your camcorder to a
color TV monitor may be helpful when
making white balance adjustments.
A. Point camcorder at a white, flat
object such as a piece of white
paper.
B. Press and hold SET until MWB
appears and then press SET for at
least three seconds.
The MWB indicator will flash
while the camcorder is adjusting
white balance and stop flashing
when it is ready to record.
Note:
To change the tint for special
recording, substitute colored paper for
white. The white balance is
adjusted based on the color.
Red paper - deeper green
Blue paper - orange
Yellow paper - deeper purple
• Select when recording
outdoors on a sunny day.
• Select -yi, when recording
outdoors on a cloudy day.
• Select when recording
using halogen or tungsten
lighting.
To hiive camcorder automatically
control white balance, repeatedly
press SET until no white balance
indicator appears in viewfinder
(or p;ace AE dial in AUTO).
