Checking your color-view™ instrument with the checking
standard
A plastic green tiles is shipped with the color-view™ instrument to
be used as a checking reference by the user. The tile should be
measured when the instrument is the first installed and checked
periodically to verify instrument consistency. Record the instrument
serial number and the X, Y, Z values of the tile using Illuminant D65
and the 10° Observer function (see Software Manual for details).
Record the Aperture used (e.g. Large Area). Periodically, repeat the
measurement with the same instrument settings. The individual
values of X, Y and Z from the initial and the repeat measurement,
should not vary by more than 0.10 color scale units.
2.
Recalibrating your color-view™ instrument when you
replace the lamp
Any time you replace the lamp in you color-view™ you will need to
recalibrate your instrument. Additional procedures may be required.
