2.3.3.3 Spectrophotometer Installation
The Spectrophotometer is shipped from the factory in a “ready-to-
run” condition. Only installation of the connecting cable and power
cord is required.
Power Cord
Install the power cord into the rear panel receptacle (see Figure 3-2).
Unit Check-Out
To check-out the unit perform the following steps:
1 Insert the power cord plug into the wall receptacle of the
appropriate power source.
2 Switch the unit power ON/OFF switch, on the rear panel,
to the ON position.
3 Check green LED on instrument for power. Initially, the
paddle covers the Sample Port. A small amount of
illumination is seen around the sides of the paddle at the
Sample Port and on the retroviewer screen. If this is not
the case, check the power cable, the fuses, all external
connections, including mains power, and Power switch.
Take any necessary corrective action.
