To install PuTTY, follow this procedure:

Download PuTTY !

Scroll down to Windows Installer for everything except PuTTYtel click on Installer:
putty-0.63-
installer.exe .

When the installer finished downloading, double-click on it to start. Follow the prompts to
complete the installation.
To open the VCP and query the Remote Display for the current gauge reading on channel one, follow
these steps. This guide will assume the user is using PuTTY to make the connection.
