CAMERA RECORDING
Preparation
•Connect the Video Camera via the Camera AC Adaptor to
the VTR as shown in the illustration above.
• Set the Input Signal Selector to “Line/Audio".
• Insert a video cassette with the erasure prevention tab
intact.
When a video cassette is already inside the VTR, press
the VTR On/Off Switch to turn it on.
• Set the Tape Speed Selector to “SP” or “LP".
O Turn the Camera AC Adaptor on and make the nec
essary adjustments on the camera.
Refer to the operating instructions of the camera you
are using.
^ Press the Record Button (•) on the VTR to start re
cording.
Avoid recording unwanted material:
Press the Pause/Still Button
(I I)
on the VTR, and the re
cording will stop temporarily. To restart recording, press the
Pause/Still Button
(I I),
again.
0 Press the Stop Button (■) on the VTR to stop the
recording.
• For playback of a tape that was recorded via a
camera, select the audio track on which the sound
from the camera microphone was recorded by
pressing the corresponding Audio Output mode
Selector Button on the Remote Controller.
• If you leave the VTR in the pause mode for more
than 5 minutes, the VTR will stop automatically to
protect the tape and the video heads.
• Even if the video camera is equipped with video
recorder remote control functions, this VTR can not
be remote-controlled from the camera.
Interval Recording Function
This recording function automatically repeats recording for
approx. 2 seconds and pausing for approx. 4 seconds al
ternately. With this function, it is possible to make record
ings, for example the opening of a rose, shortened into
approx. 1/3th actual time. This makes it possible to record a
24-hour event on a single NV-E240 video cassette (in the
LP mode).
•This function can be used not only for camera recording,
but also for recording from TV programmes.
Try using this function for various kinds of creative re
cording.
(T) Press the Pause/Still Button
(I I)
during recording.
(The VTR will be in the recording pause mode.)
@ Press the Jog/Shuttle Button.
(The Interval Recording will start.)
@ To stop the Interval Recording, press the Jog/Shuttle
Button or the Pause/Still Button.
