Installation
Prerequisites
Before you install the Welch Allyn cardiopulmonary connectivity software on the
CardioPerfect Workstation, do the following:
• Verify that the CardioPerfect Workstation software has been properly installed. If not,
install it. Follow the installation instructions that came with the software CD.
• Verify that the CardioPerfect Workstation software and database have both been
upgraded to version 1.6.0 or higher. If necessary, upgrade the software and database
now.
• If you will be installing additional wireless support — that is, if some
electrocardiographs are on a different subnet from the CardioPerfect database server
— find out the IP address or computer name of the database server.
• If using a CP 200 electrocardiograph in a wireless configuration, do the following.
• Verify that the electrocardiograph software product version is 2.4.0 or later.
• Verify that the Wireless Settings item is available on the Connectivity Settings
menu. If not, a hardware upgrade is needed. Contact your Welch Allyn service
representative.
For details, see the electrocardiograph directions for use.
• If using a CP 20 or CP 200 electrocardiograph, verify that the connectivity settings in
the software are properly configured. For details, see the electrocardiograph
directions for use.
• If using wireless communications, check the electrocardiograph’s network and
wireless settings. Verify that these settings match the access point settings.
• Verify that you have administrator rights for the CardioPerfect Workstation software
and for the PC.
• Close all programs before starting the installation.
