Mark the orientation of each reed valve with the valve plate.
Note: The reed valve must be re-installed correctly or the pump will not function
properly.
Note: Dynojet recommends you remove and clean one reed valve at a time.

Using a flat-head screwdriver, remove the screw securing the reed valve. Remove
the washer and valve.
10 Carefully clean the area where the reed valve seats.
11 Carefully clean the reed valve.
If you purchased the pump head maintenance kit (P/N 79190003), replace each
reed valve. Disregard the foam insert included in the kit.
12 Secure the reed valve and washer with the screw you removed earlier. Be sure to
align the reed valve with the valve plate using the marks you made earlier.
13 Following steps 8-12, remove and clean the reed valve on the other side of the
valve plate.

14 Secure the valve plate to the pump head using the four screws removed earlier.
Refer to Figure 2-15.
Note: Be sure to align the valve plate with the pump head using the marks you
made earlier.
