This function iets you vary the automatic
fiash exposure ievei of the buiit-in fiash and
EOS externai fiash units. The fiash exposure
can be compensated up to ±2 stops in 172-
stop increments.
1) Press the fiash button to pop up the built-
in flash.
2) Press the flash button again and turn the
main dial or quick control dial to set the
desired compensation amount.
* To use the quick control dial, set the
quick control dial switch to
I .
* ® lights in the LCD panel.
* The flash exposure compensation
amount is displayed in the LCD panel.
“+"
indicates overexposure compensa
tion and indicates underexposure
compensation.
3) Press the flash button again to complete
the flash exposure compensation setting.
The flash exposure compensation
amount disappears from the LCD panel
and viewfinder and the AE exposure com
pensation display appears.
