Automatic Firing

In Full Auto ( D ), Portrait (

) and

Close-up (

) modes when the subject is

in low light or backed by strong light, “ 4 ”
lights in the viewfinder and the flash auto
matically pops up and fires to illuminate the

subject. The flash automatically retracts after

use.

Manuai Firing

In creative zone modes you can use the flash

any time you need to.

1) Press the flash button to pop up the flash.

2) Press the shutter button halfway to con

firm that “ V ” lights in the viewfinder.

3) Take the picture.

* To retract the flash, push it down gently

by hand.
