Notes:
•
Be sure not to obscure autofocus window located
under the lens with your hand, fingers, etc. during
recording.
• Do not touch focusing ring during autofocus.
• The autofocus mechanism focuses subjects at a
distance of approximately 0.6 - 12 metres*. For
more distant subjects, focus iocks at infinity. To
shoot bright subjects at a distance of 12 metres
or more outdoors during daytime, the lens
aperture is small so accurate focus Is easily
achieved. However, if conditions are cloudy or if
you are shooting night scenes, etc., use manual
focusing.
* For the E600, the distance is 0 . 7 - 1 2 metres.
• If the camera is near other products that use
infrared beams (e.g. wireless controller for TV,
VTR, or another video camcorder), autofocus
may malfunction. Autofocus is turned off when
the camera receives signals from the wireless
controller.
• Shooting subjects in low-light conditions at a
distance of less than 1 metre in autofocus mode
may result in poor picture quaiity. To avoid this,
use the VL-7 Battery Video Light.
