LOAD THE MERCURY
BATTERY
Before
using
the
camera,
take
the
mercury
battery
out
of
the
envelope
and
load
it
into the camera. If you forget to do this,
the meter will not function.
For
CdS,
mercury
batteries
M-P
made
by
National
and
TH-MP
made
by
Toshiba
are
used,
which
are
equivalent
to
the
Mallory
RM-1.
Ordinarily
the
battery
lasts
for
about two years.
* The mercury battery chamber is inside
the film compartment.
Open
the
side
cover
by
turning
the
side
cover lock of the camera to the left.
To
unscrew
the
mercury
battery
chamber
cover, turn it to the left.

Place
the
center
point
of
contact
of
the
battery face downwards and insert.
• Before insertion, thoroughly wipe the
mercury battery.
Exert
a
little
pressure
on
the cover
when
screwing it in by turning it clockwise.
• The meter will not function properly
if the battery is incorrectly inserted.
Close the side cover.
The switch is ON when the white dot of
the
circuit
switch
is
turned
to
the
oppo
site side of the orange mark, and the nee
dle inside the finder starts to fluctuate.
