Troubleshooting and Maintenance
Printer software does • Make sure the CD-ROM drive in gour computer is

• Make sure the CD is properlg loaded in gour CD-ROM
drive.

of the printer.
Make sure gou have removed the protective pieces of
tape on the print cartridges. See “Replacing print
cartridges” on page 16 for more information.
Make sure gou are not out of ink. See “Printing a test
page” on page 10 for more information.
Text or graphics are in
the wrong place.
Photo lagout isn’t what I
expected.
Text is running off the
edge of the page.
Make sure gou have selected the correct orientation
(portrait or landscape). See the HP PhotoSmart online
Help for details about selecting the paper orientation.
If photos are oriented incorrectlg, it mag be that gour
camera doesn’t store the photo orientation information.
If the printer doesn’t get this information, it fits as mang
photos as possible on the page.
Make sure gou have selected the correct paper size in
the printer Properties (if gou are using a computer) or
on the front panel.
Make sure the margins are set correctlg in gour
software program.
