Chapter 5 Using the Printer with a Memory Card

IF your digital camera uses a memory card to store photos, you can insert the

memory card into the HP PhotoSmart printer to print your photos. The HP

PhotoSmart printer steps you through the process.

Understanding memory cards

The HP PhotoSmart printer can read two diFFerent types oF memory cards.

CompactFlash Type I & I

SmartMedia

Use only CompactFlash Association (CFA) certiFied Type I & II or SmartMedia

memory cards with the HP PhotoSmart printer. These cards are manuFactured by

several vendors and are available in a variety oF storage capacities.

Note: Other types oF memory cards may damage the HP PhotoSmart PlOOO/

PllOO printer.

Inserting a memory card

Once you have taken photos with your digital camera, you can print them

immediately or save them to your computer using the HP PhotoSmart PlOOO/

PllOO printer. BeFore you insert a memory card, be sure the printer is turned ON.

Note: The printer can only access one memory card slot at a time.
