Using the PROGRAM AE function
You can select from six PROGRAM AH (Auto Exposure) modes to suit your shooting
situation.
Selecting the best mode
Select one of six modes, referring to the following.
Spotlight mode
For subjects in spotlight, such ds .it the theater or n formal event.
Soft Portrait mode
For-zeoming in on a still subject in telephoto mode, or for a subject behind an obstacle
such as a screen. Creates a soft background for subjects such as people or flowers, and
faithfully reproduces skin color.
Sports Lesson mode
For recording fast-mox’ing subjects such as in tennis or golf games.
7^ Beach & Ski mode
For people or faces in strong light or reflected light, such as at a beach in midsummer or
on a skiing ground.
^ Sunset & Moon mode
For recording subjects in dark en\ ironments such as sunsets, fireworks, neon signs, or
general night views.
SI Landscape mode
For distant subjects (more than 10 meters away) such as mountains or when recording a
subjct behind an obstacle such as a window or screen.
While selecting spotlight mode, sports lesson mode or beach & ski mode
The camcorder automatically controls the auto focus function not to focus on close
subject.
While selecting sunset mode or landscape mode
The camcorder automaticalK' controls the auto locus function to focus on a distant
